What was supposed to be a career as a broadcast news reporter has turned into something else entirely. Jennifer started her media career more than 20 years ago as a radio announcer in a small Northwestern Ontario town. But the lure of the big city was too much to resist so she moved to Calgary making the leap into television reporting. News producing followed and after several years of staying ahead of tight newsroom deadlines, she made the move into content production.
Jennifer has produced series for W, Global Television, CityTV, and Court TV. She was also the voice behind many shows like Hollywood’s 10 Best (W), Screaming Room (Scream Network), and Hollywood Stars (W).
Always up for a challenge, she went freelance in 2008 becoming an independent producer, writer and director. A decision that opened up new production doors, led to event management projects, and the opportunity to work on large publicity campaigns for film and television.
Working on her own is what brought Jennifer to Jump Studios. Writing and directing a few corporate videos for Jump eventually resulted in a long term working relationship. As General Manager she handles the day to day operations, as well as large projects like the award winning graphics package for ESPN’s Grand Slam Tennis, commercial shoots for Lux Windows, corporate videos for WestJet, Alberta Energy Regulator, and Intact Insurance, as well as numerous agency projects.
As much as Jennifer enjoys the challenges of producing, her greatest love is building strong teams of creative professionals who passionately work towards the end goal of a project.
