When Deluxe Design Group shot the dramatic short ‘The Trapper’, they gave Jump Studios the freedom to play with a color grade. Jump used SpeedLooks SL-3500 Clean Fuji to give the project a naturally lit finish reminiscent of The Revenant.
ESPN required a rebrand of their Prime and Big Monday franchises for College Basketball. It was a slam dunk when ESPN asked Jump Studios to create a unique show open tease and toolbox of various elements to increase weekly viewership. Here’s a quick teaser of the open and elements reel.
Glean Productions approached Jump Studios to assist with the creation of a hologram featuring NHL player Steven Stamkos for sporting goods retailer SportChek. The production took place in Toronto requiring multiple set-ups on a single rink including a Canon DSLR array with 60 cameras, a Phantom and 2 RED cameras. The post-production phase required Jump to stabilize the footage and stills, rotoscope Stamkos, create and track 3D design elements and finish with a color grade.
A new era unfolds as Talisman Centre transforms into Repsol Sports Centre. Deluxe Design Group and Jump Studios teamed up to tell this story through animation using simple sport icons, motion graphics and fluid transitions. This short animation will give your eyes a work out as you dive into the new world of Repsol Sports Centre.
ESPN is the leader when it comes to broadcasting tennis. Jump Studios was up for the challenge when ESPN approached the team to create a broadcast design package for several events leading up to Grand Slam tennis. Alberta shot sci-fi, The Northlander, is a unique story on identity and survival in the year 2961. Canadian film director and writer, Benjamin Ross Hayden, came to Jump Studios with a distinct vision which was brought to life through the colour grade using the SL-3500 Clean Fuji, SL-3527 Blue Intense and SL-3528 Gold Orange looks. The Edmonton Oil Kings are geared up for another season of hockey. To celebrate their new home at Rogers Place, the Oil Kings and Jump Studios teamed up to create a home opener video to rev up the crowd. Through stills, motion graphics and a punchy music track, Jump delivered a snapshot of this invincible team. The result was a winning goal for Jump!
Shelter Canada helps families in need by providing solid, secure and safe homes. Director/Cinematographer Eppo Eerkes documented the raw emotion of families in El Salvador receiving homes using the GH4 Panasonic camera. Jump Studios was brought in to edit and color grade these touching stories. The footage shot in V-Log allowed the colorist to create a more cinematic feel.
